Dominic Jones

Dominic Jones is a five time New Gen award winner, who launched the eponymous label in 2009 with the 'Tooth and Nail' collection (see above), which won the acclaim of Anna Wintour and propelled his designs to being the fashion insiders cult choice of accessory.

He took is degree as a jeweller at London's Sir John Cass School of Art and Design, after finishing his degree he went to work with the art collective "Wowow" before starting up his own business with Alice Dellal in 2009 launching 'Dominic Jones Jewellery'.

Since then Dominic has been awarded 'Jewellery Designer of the Year' at the Elle Style Awards in 2011, and was also nominated for the 2012 British Fashion Ward fir 'Emerging Accessories Designer'.

His ambassadors include BeyoncĂ©, Karl Lagerfeld, Rihanna and Florence Welch, he is also currently stocking globally with Barneys, Net-A-Porter Worldwide, Liberty and Harvey Nichols.

Jones is also represented by the British Fashion Council, which aims to showcase British designers and develop London's position as a major player in the international fashion arena, during London Fashion Week.

He has worked with Vice (magazine), Charlotte Olympia (shoe and accessories designer), Thierry Mugler (fashion designer) and Emeralds for Elephants (Worlds Land Trust).

"When London-based jewelry designer Dominic Jones got a call telling him that Anna Wintour was en route to preview his first collection in 2008, he was in bed. "I walked in five minutes before she did," he says. "She paused and looked at my work and my lookbook, which was styled by Katie Shillingford. And she really liked it. She even took off her sunglasses. Everyone freaked out."" - Interview Magazine

Dominic Jones has definitely taken the term jewellery to a new level - at least for me anyway. He's take on contemporary jewellery is creative and inspiring to watch how he develops his designs, through his collections and collaborations.
I love how he can do something simple, yet textural or go to extremes and create out of this world statement pieces.
